The Hellenic Bank Association announces the decision of its member-banks to actively support the Greek economy
Greek banks, members of the HBA, closely monitor current developments and are in cooperation with the Government and the Supervisory Authorities in order to allot all available forces in coping with this negative juncture.
As a prompt initiative and taking into consideration the flexibility provided by Supervisory Authorities in the context of current extreme conditions, banks announce supporting measures for businesses, which include suspension of payment for capital debts (instalments) until 30/9/2020. Said facilitation concerns legal entities belonging to sectors directly affected by the health crisis.
In particular, aforementioned borrowers may apply for a subsequent payment of debt, with an extension of the duration of credits, provided that their loans were performed on 31/12/2019. For the period of the above suspension, contractual interest shall be paid normally.
For further information, interested parties are requested to contact their bank, by applying a respective request.
